The Dial

Iron from before the Earth.

The Widmanstätten lattice forms only inside iron meteorites, where molten metal cools a few degrees every million years. Nothing on Earth cools slowly enough to make it.

Visto's dial renders that geometry with precision 3D printing. Every dial is a crystalline landscape drawn from metal older than the planet under you, finished to tolerances the original never held.

Any competent watchmaker on Earth can service it, and there is no battery to die.
